We need everyone’s help in our efforts to build a democratic, fighting union. What can you do to get involved?
-Join us at upcoming membership meetings. See the sidebar for the next meeting. If you’re interested in attending our caucus meetings, come get to know us at the membership meetings!
-Spread the word. Talk to your colleagues, your officemates, your friends about the our ongoing efforts and what’s happening in our union and university.
-Hold a meeting in your program or department. Active union members and officers have been speaking at department meetings across campus for the last year; if you’re willing to organize a meeting in your department, email berkeley@uaw2865.org and get connected with a presenter.
-Become a steward. If your department doesn’t currently have a steward, consider nominating yourself! To learn more about what it means to be a steward, check out our pamphlet.
-Join the union. If you aren’t a member yet, you should be. Even if you aren’t currently teaching, you are eligible to become a voting member of the union? Email berkeley@uaw2865.org.
